Circumstantial evidence suggests Harvey is a son of Thomas Kincaid and Polly/Mary Davis
who is a probable son of Samuel/Mary Tincher
who is a probable son of Thomas/Hannah Tincher.

Following is a summary of relevant known data to aid in understanding why the probables in the above and why 33001 is in the Fayette division of Group A-1a.
Documented linkages to Samuel/Mary Tincher and to Thomas/Hannah Tincher are complicated and beyond the scope of this post but are alluded to in summary.

33001 is vetted to Thomas/Polly Davis through son William M.

13027 is preparing a vetting post to Thomas/Polly Davis through son Thomas/Eliza Townsend.

When Thomas' line is vetted 33001's mutation to 11 at marker 4 will be isolated downline from Thomas/Polly.

In the 1850 Fayette Co. census Harvey is in hh/581, William is in hh/582 and hh/583 is John B Davis 48 with Benedictine Davis 88 in his household. Benedictine is the mother of Polly (Davis) Kincaid.

Oct 28, 1864 Harvey Kincaid and William M Kincaid are summoned to Circuit Court concerning money due Samuel.B. Fox. William was surety on a bond Harvey posted. Harvey protests that the amounts he borrowed in several small amounts from March 28, 1858 thru June 5, 1859 were all repaid and that he owes nothing as far as he knows.

Thomas and Mary Kincaid are given as parents of above Thomas when he marries 2nd Eliza Townsend in 1875. Census data shows a continuum of children between the 1870 family of Thomas/Isabella and the 1880 family of Thomas/Eliza. It is believed that Mary 53 widow and Polly 63, lady in Harvey's 1860 census are one and the same.

Thomas m Polly Davis January 10, 1815. Samuel Kincaid gives permission for Thomas to marry. Census records place the birth years of this couple between 1790-1799 which is consistent with Mary/Polly in the censuses being born in 1797.

Thomas Sr was granted 42a on Glade Creek in 1825. The land was used along with other land to secure a note due April 1842. Thomas Sr and William failed to pay the note. The land was sold at auction. Thomas Sr was the highest bidder on the 40a lot. In 1852 Charles Fleschman, acting for the county, sells 40a on Glade Creek to Thomas Jr for $3. The above history of the land is contained in the 1872 land record when Thomas and Isabella Kincaid sell this land.

Through court testimony and deeds it can be shown that the Thomas who held the above grant was the son of Samuel Kincaid/Mary Tincher/Huldah Osbourne/Diana Ewing and that this Samuel lived next to and received land from Thomas/Hannah Tincher as did proven children of Thomas/Hannah.

Inter-relations between Samuel and others in the area show a strong connection (almost exclusive of others) with the known extended family of Thomas/Hannah. Bondsmen for the following marriages are part of this extended family. Deeds confirm that the same Samuel who m Huldah Osbourne married Diana Ewing. A deed by part of Samuel's heirs confirm he is the above Samuel and had children born prior to his marriage to Huldah.

Samuel Kincaid m Mary Tincher bond dated June 17, 1785

Samuel Kincaid m Huldah Osbourne bond dated March 13, 1802

Samuel Kincaid m Diana Ewing 1828

Court procedings confirm the children of Thomas/Hannah Tincher which includes a son Samuel. The above Samuel is the only one of the correct age who has any social connection to Thomas/Hannah and to their proven children.
