Kinkead, Presley Kinkead, Evelina Kinkead, Delilah Kinkead and Margaret Kinkead, heirs and dower of William Kinkead decd. of the one part and Stithe E. Burton of the other part all of the County of Woodford and State of Kentucky...containing five acres five quarters and twenty two poles which land was allotted to William Kinkead as one of the heirs of John Kinkead in the division among his heirs...together with their mother, Elizabeth Kinkead who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in and to the lands conveyed in this deed...Elizabeth Kinkead the wife and [unreadable] of the within named William Kinkead deceased..."

Preston B. Kinkead's obituary from the Nevada Daily Mail of 22 November 1898 - "Mrs. Ed G. Maring received a dispatch this morning from Walker, to the effect that her uncle Presley Kinkead died at seven o'clock Monday evening of dropsy, aged 83 years. The deceased was a native of Lexington, Ky., but lived a greater part of his life in Texas, coming to Vernon county some five years ago. He was the last member of the Kinkead family of six children, all of whom reached the advanced age of eighty."

Ida Kinkead's marriage announcement from the Nevada Daily Mail of 9 April 1886 - "Wednesday, April 7, by Rev. L. P. Sicelow, of Butler, Mo., at the residence of the bride's father, Jno. Kinkead, near Walker, E.G. Maring and Miss Ida Kinkead. After receiving the congratulations and well wishes of those present, a sumptuous feast was spread, after which the couple departed for their future home in this city."

[Birthplace for John D Kinkead has been given as both Virginia and Kentucky. According to the obituary of his brother, Preston "Presley" B. Kinkead, Preston was born in 1815 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY. Presumably, the family relocated from Virginia to Kentucky sometime around John D Kinkead's birth in 1811. His sister Delilah Kinkead, born around 1810 was also listed as being born in both Virginia and Kentucky on various census. Census for the children of John D Kinkead list their father's birthplace as Kentucky.]

The youngest daughter was named Abby, married and moved away."

Letter from Lucretia Catherine Fawcett-McCluer (niece of Elizabeth Fawcett-Kinkead) dated 12 April 1911 transcribed by Susan D Chambliss on 26 January 2000: "Pa's five sisters moved away. Aunt Annie Bright & Aunt Molly Harrison to Indiana, Aunt Hetty Odell & Aunt Kincaid (I forgotten her given name) to Kentucky and Aunt Betsy Kincaid to Saline Co. MO. The two Kincaids were no akin at all. We never heard from any of them and have no knowledge of their locations or their deaths."
